I think I'm getting a good deal through online booking with Disney ...but shpould I try to pull together my own package to save a buck or not waste my time? They really do seem to have the best apckage deals out there...unless you shop last minute.

    Stacy,

Sometimes better deals can be had, and Mousesavers.com is what I have found to be the best resource for locating those bargains.  That said, I really believe that booking a package with Disney is usually the way to go.  The deals found on Mousesavers are often room-only rates, which are great for annual passholders, but if you need to buy tickets anyway, you can generally get a better deal elsewhere.

I would recommend that you consider booking with a travel agent who specializes in Disney vacations.  They will likely be booking you the same package that you see online right now.  However, the reason I say I'd go that route (instead of reserving it on your own) is because a travel agent will continue to look for good deals for you.  If, say, 6 weeks down the road they see a better offer come through, they can change your plan so that you reap the maximum amount of savings/benefit from your dollar.  If you book the vacation yourself, you are the one that needs to keep looking for current offers.

    Hope that helps!
