Do you think the DP will be enough food for aver. eaters without having to buy a 3rd meal everyday.Maybe a snack in the room before heading out, late break./early lunch @ 11,afternoon snack, and dinner at 5.Anyone tried this?Trying to budget.:)

    Heather,

This is what my family always does, and we have plenty of food.  And we're foodies, so if it works for us I think it will work for you too.

We take along breakfast and snack foods, like granola bars, pop tarts, cereal, pretzels, etc.  Then we pop into the resort gift shop to pick up fresh fruit, pastries, and milk.  This little supply works well for us for breakfast in the room (and the occasional midnight snack).  We then eat lunch and dinner 'out' each day.

Sometimes we really want to go out for breakfast.  The Akershus princess breakfast in Epcot and Chef Mickey's breakfast at the Contemporary are two of our favorites.  On those days, we try to schedule a late breakfast (more of a brunch) and an early dinner, then grab a snack later in the evening.

Either way, we definitely have plenty to eat on the dining plan and I don't believe we have ever purchased anything but the occasional popcorn or Mickey ice cream bar out of pocket.
