Do you think the Delux Dining Plan is worth it for 2 adults and a 5 year old staying for 6 days?

    Gina,

I think the concern is less about how long you are coming, versus how you think you will dine. I am a big fan of the Dining Plan overall, but I have two little girls the same age as your child (my girls are 4 and 6), and we can never make the Deluxe Plan work out for us financially.

The reason why I would typically say no in this case is that our girls simply don't eat enough to make up the cost of the Deluxe Dining Plan. Three sit-down meals is more food than they would ever eat. Plus, that is a lot of time sitting at a meal table than on an attraction.

Now if your 5-year old has a robust appetite, then maybe it is worth doing. Only you know for sure.

As for the question of having all these credits so that you can go to a lot of the 2-credit meals (signature restaurants and select character experiences), I typically find that the cost effectiveness in those instances is even lower than using two credits at two 1-credit restaurants.

I hope that this helps? If you have some follow-up questions, or want to tell me more about your meal plans, I could take a more in-depth look and provide some follow-up advice!

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
