Do you think booking the "extreme getaway' adventure at Castaway Cay is too ambitious for a family of 3 w/ dd6 who has never been there before & 1st time cruisers? Is it better to just relax on the beach?

    Ahoy Kari!
Thanks for writing back!  Castaway Cay is my absolute favorite port of call, and I can't wait for my next visit in a couple of weeks!  My family loves to enjoy the gorgeous beach and crystal blue water on our visits as well as Pelican Plunge (waterslides), Spring-A-Leak (water playground), and some delicious eats at Cookies BBQ!  My kiddos also like to visit Scuttle's Cove so they can participate in the fun activities planned by the youth counselors on the island like water games, the whale dig, and the Caribbean Beach Party.  We have snorkeled and rented bikes which is included in the getaway package and loved both activities!  If interacting with the stingrays is on the top of your "must do" list then I would consider booking the Castaway Cay Extreme Getaway Package. But, if you want to take it easy on your first visit and spend some time exploring Disney's tropical oasis, I would wait until you get on the island to decide about the other options.  It is very easy to rent snorkel equipment, floats, and bikes on Castaway Cay.  I hope my answer helps you with your decision, Kari! As you continue to plan for your magical voyage, please keep me posted on any other cruise questions!
    Have a wonderful day!
