what do you think are the best resturaunts with or without characters . I have two boys 8 and 2. We have the meal plan

Hi, Doreen!  There are so many amazing dining experiences at Walt Disney World that it's hard to pin down the ones your family might like without knowing what kinds of food or experiences you like.  I have taken my nephews as well as my daughters to the restaurants that I'm going to recommend, so I hope I come close to some things your gang will enjoy!

For characters, with boys, I always recommend Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort, and it's a great first or last day place to go for that first taste of or last farewell to Walt Disney World.  The all you can eat buffet features a great variety of food - both at breakfast and dinner.

Sci-Fi Dine In at Disney's Hollywood Studios is not my favorite food, but this is great fun for kids, and mine usually love their meal.  You will find yourself sitting in a convertible at a drive-in movie theater, and that's so cool for kids who have never been!

Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge is the place for good food and good fun.  The wait staff here knows just what to do to add to the dining experience with their shenanigans.

Mickey's Backyard Barbecue is another fun character dining experience, where you'll find music and dancing, and great character interaction.

My nephews loved dining at Teppan Edo at EPCOT, where the meal is enhanced by the performance of the skilled chef in front of you.  My youngest, who is now four, was a little leery of being so close to the flames from the grill, but clapped the loudest at the chef's performance.

And if you are interested in a dinner show, the Hoop Dee Doo is awesome for kids this age.

    Have a great vacation!
