Things to do with a two year old little girl by our hotel cabins at fort wilderness

    Hi Jennie,

Our family is somewhat new to Fort Wilderness, with our first stay just a year ago. We loved it so much that we booked a return visit six weeks later to continue to enjoy the property and amenities.

First off, the cabins are comfortable and homey and my boys loved just hanging out on our own private deck watching the animals and playing games. The main swimming pool area at Meadow Swimmin' hole has just been recently remodeled and now includes a fantastic kiddie play zone and new water slide and hot tub. Nearby, you will find a general store with your basic grocery needs. There is also fishing, archery, canoe rental and more in this same area. In the evenings, wander back to the Meadow Swimmin post area where you will find the nearby Chip-n-Dale Campfire and movie. Weather permitting, guests are treated to a bonfire (snacks and s'mores fixins are for sale) as well as a visit from our furry friends, Chip and Dale. Following the bonfire there is a nightly family movie selection for your enjoyment.

If you wander further back on the property, you will come across the Settlement Area. Boats to Magic Kingdom launch from the dock located along the beach area, which also offers lounge chairs and sand volleyball. There is a great playground area here as well as an arcade. For an additional cost, guests are able to enjoy horseback riding, carriage rides, bike rental and watercraft rental all from this location. On most evenings the fantastic Hoop-de-doo Revue and Mickey's BBQ are found here also.

Whew, that is just a sample of all the fun things going on at Fort WIlderness. For additional information, check here. Hope you have a rip roarin great time.
