what are some things to do for kids 4 years old outside of the parks. we are not visiting the parks when we come 12/24-12/29/2013 and 05/08-05/11/2013. We still would love for our 4 year old to have a good time besides character dining?

    Hey there Artavia!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's always great to assist a fellow Georgian! How exciting you will be visiting Walt DIsney World twice in the next few months!

This is a great question! I have also visited the Walt Disney World Resort without entering the DIsney Parks and can assure you that there is so much to do and see outside of the theme parks. Be sure to visit Downtown Disney, an entertainment district, which does not require admission. My children absolutely love to visit the LEGO Imagination Center and World of Disney Store. T-REX Cafe and Rainforest Cafe are family favorite dining locations that feature life-size animatronic animals in themed settings. If you have a daughter, consider booking a magical makeover where she will be magically transformed into a little princess by her very own Fairy Godmother-in-training, at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the World of Disney Store at Downtown Disney. Follow this link to learn more about the entertainment options that await at Downtown Disney.

You may also consider booking the popular Pirate & Pals Fireworks Voyage for a swashbuckling adventure on the Seven Seas Lagoon. I can personally recommend this popular nighttime cruise where guests will enjoy a pirate themed party, photo opportunities with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, and watching beautiful fireworks from a perfect vantage point on the Seven Seas Lagoon.

I hope these suggestions are helpful! Please don't hesitate to write me back if I can be of further assistance to you. I hope both of your trips are simply magical, Artavia!

    Happy Travels,
    Jodie
