Welcome aboard, Debbie! You and I sound like we're very similar. Not only because we're both from Ohio, but it sounds like you love a good deal! Me too! I wish that Disney Cruise Line offered Cyber Monday cruise sales, but I haven't seen anything like that yet. But there are some great ways to save money when booking a cruise with Disney anytime of the year!
The prices for Disney cruises tend to be best when the
itineraries are first released. The January through early May itineraries for 2018 were just released, and I am hoping to see the summer 2018 itineraries released a few months from now. If you're looking to sail then, booking as soon as the itineraries are announced would save you money, as the rates do tend to go up after that.
You may also want to check out the
Special Rates and Offers page of Disney Cruise Line's website, and check it often. Another plus for you is that since you've already sailed with Disney before, once you do book your cruise, you'll have earlier access than first time sailors to booking all the fun extras like Port Adventures and some Character Greetings. The online check-in for
first time cruisers with Disney opens 75 days prior to sailing, but Silver Castaway Club members (those, like you, who have sailed 1-5 times with Disney before) get to begin online check-in 90 days prior to sailing.
Then, once you are onboard the cruise, consider booking your next sailing with Disney while onboard. Guests who book their next cruise onboard, or book a placeholder cruise to choose a date within the next two years, get 10% off the cruise, a reduced deposit, and a very generous onboard credit for the next sailing. I know that doesn't help you save money on this next cruise, Debbie, but it's something to consider if you cruise with Disney after that! Happy planning!
