Ho-Ho-Ho Renae,
Welcome to planDisney. How wonderful to end the year at
Walt Disney World Resort! The theme parks and
Disney Resorts Collection hotels will be full of festive colors and holiday chEAR. And, if that was not enough, there will be plenty of seasonal entertainment, character interactions, scrumptious treats and more!
We love planning a day or two enjoying the Disney water parks. It is the perfect way to recharge and relax in between theme park days. While
Disney's Blizzard Beach is temporarily closed for an extended refurbishment, the great news is
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is open and ready for plenty of splish splashin' fun! While December temperatures tend to be on the cooler side, with the average daily temperature in the mid 70's, the good news is the water in the pools is heated to the low 80's and quite pleasant. The waterpark has slightly shorter hours during the winter months, and may close temporarily for inclement weather, so you will want to make sure you check the operating hours using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. As a reminder, the waterpark does not require an advanced theme park reservation.
I hope this information is helpful. Remember to keep that sunscreen handy. Even in the cooler weather, the Florida sun can sneak up on you. If I can help with any further planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Margaret
