I am happy to hear that you plan to use the Disney Dining Plan, as it is a wonderful way to budget for meals in the Disney theme parks and resorts. Upgrading from the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is a great idea if you want to enjoy table service or Character Dining experiences, which are some of my favorite things to do on vacation in Walt Disney World. It is the perfect opportunity to get off your feet for a bit and enjoy a nice meal while still surrounded by the fabulous ambiance only Disney can provide.

Your Blue Light Card entitles you to discounted vacation packages, but not necessarily upgrades such as the Disney Dining Plan. It never hurts to ask, so I recommend reaching out directly to an expert at the Walt Disney World Travel Company by calling freephone 0800 169 0730. Be sure to have your booking reference, Blue Light Card code, and membership number ready when you call.
