Hi there, We arrive for a 10 night stay on Dec 31st 2013. If I book a Disney Dining Plan now will this cover my entire stay until 10th Jan under the 2013 plan cost/conditions or will the plan change to 2014 cost/details after our first night? Thanks.

    Hi Melissa,

What a great question! The Disney Dining Plan is very popular and guests love this option.

This is really a two part question. The first is being costs. If you purchase the Disney Dining Plan now, the cost of the plan for 2014 will remain the same for your reservation as you are spanning two years.

The second part is slightly trickier. While the overall premise of the dining plan is not likely to change-what you get with each plan-a restaurant may change. Restaurants enter a contract with Disney to be on or off the plan. Some restaurants are not owned by Disney so there is the potential for them not to go on the plan.

What this means is that if you made an Advance Dining Reservation and the restaurant no longer accepts the dining plan, you would need to pay out of pocket for this meal. You could also cancel this meal and book another restaurant. However, I would not worry too much about this option as the restaurants have stayed fairly consistent the last few years.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
