Hi there I’m planning my trip for next August. I know the dates for MNSSHP won’t be out until Jan, but wondering if it seems to be a theme that typically the first date is mid-August?

Hello there, Nichole! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and ask your Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

As much as I love spur of the moment vacations, I am a firm believer in planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort as far in advance as possible! With some many wonderful activities and attractions, I like the idea of using that time to research as much as possible before planning my family's vacation!

It is true that Fall begins a bit early at Walt Disney World Resort! Historically, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will begin around the middle-to-end of August. Of course, this is always subject to change but there is definitively a trend of Halloween decorations and offerings beginning around this period of time. As someone that loves everything to do with Halloween, I highly recommend attending this event to all Guests! I have had so much fun attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party over the years as there are not many other places adults get to enjoy participating in a fun fall festival. Personally, my favorite part of this event is dressing up and trick-or-treating across the Magic Kingdom! This is such a great opportunity to get creative with your costuming and enjoy some delicious treats at the same time!

Have fun beginning to plan for your 2020 vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
