Hi there! I'm heading to Disneyland this week. I pulled out my two MagicBand+ devices from last year. They're charged and ready to go. However, I'm getting an error that they're attached to another account. What can I do to resolve this?

Hi Matthew! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Let's see if we can't troubleshoot your band! It sounds like your band needs to be reassigned. First, pull up your Disneyland mobile app. Tap the three-bar menu on the bottom right side of the app. This will bring up a series of tiles. Tap "MagicBand+." You should see all your linked bands listed there. Tap the band you'd like to reassign. On the band's page, you'll see a series of options. Tap "Reassign," which will allow you to select a different admission ticket or Magic Key to assign to the band. You can also link a new ticket or Magic Key from this page. Click "Assign" to assign your band to the new ticket.

I think that should do it. If not, you'll want to call Guest Services for additional technical support on your band. I had to make a quick call when I first purchased mine and the Cast Member was extremely helpful! They should be able to sort out any difficulties you're having if this wasn't the answer.

Your question reminded me to link my MagicBand+ to my Disneyland mobile app and Magic Key after my most recent trip to Walt Disney World Resort. You can use the newest bands in both resorts! So, I'll be enjoying the interactive features and convenience of my band in Disneyland Resort on my upcoming trip just like you. I just need to find my boys' bands before we go to link them too!

I hope you have a magical time.
