Ahoy, Jacqueline!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm excited to hEAR you are setting sail for a
Western Caribbean voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line soon! You have so much to look forward to on your cruise vacation including some fabulous ports of call! You'll love waking up to a new tropical paradise each day and having an opportunity to explore and learn about these gorgeous islands while you are there.
I'm glad you asked this question because you'll want to be prepared when you head ashore. Since
passports and birth certificates are not needed after checking in at the port, we always leave ours in the stateroom safe. When you leave the ship, you'll present your
"Key to the World" card so the crew knows you've disembarked. When you return to the pier, the security may ask to see your driver's license or government- issued photo I.D. (guests 18 and over) so you'll want to make sure you have it handy along with your "Key to the World" card to show you are cruise passenger. When you embark the ship, the crew member will scan your "Key to the World" card again. It's a very simple process, and I always keep my license and "Key to the World" card in my lanyard so I can find it quickly.
Jacqueline, I'm so glad you cruised by with your question! Please let us know if we can assist you further with your plans. We are always happy to help a fellow cruiser!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
