Hi There, I am taking my girls to DW for their first time, last week in March, 2011. I am trying to plan out our days, how can I find out which areas of MK are closed. I found out that Mickey's Toontown is closed during that time, but what else is closed?

Their first visit - how exciting!

Toontown will be closing permanently in mid-February 2011 to make way for a huge expansion of Fantasyland. I can't wait to see it. Other attractions may temporarily go dark for regular maintenance or refurbishment.

There are several websites that post these Disney attraction closures. One that I find to be very complete is at stitchkingdom.com. Go to that site and click on the "tools" tab at the top of the page. Select the ReSearch Refurb tool. Plug in your travel dates and select the Walt Disney World resort you will be staying at. Then click the ReSeach button.

The tool will give you a list of all the park attractions that will be closed during the time of your visit.

I find it quite helpful to know about these closures in advance so that I can adjust my children's expectations accordingly.

Good luck and have a wonderful time with your girls.
