Jaime, you have truly found your fellow Jedi here at planDisney. The Force is strong with you!
Soon you'll be traveling to a galaxy far, far away and will be landing on Planet Batuu in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! It sounds like you have plans to make a very special astromech unit at
Droid Depot and I couldn't think of a better sidekick to join you on your interstellar adventures! I would love to make sure that your little droid friend returns to your home planet safely.
Jaime, while the option to send your droid back to your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is unavailable at this time, I'm happy to let you know that you can easily ship your droid home! Theme park purchases can be
shipped back to your home using either UPS or FedEx. All you need to do is bring your droid and receipt to
Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities and they'll be able to help you with this process! In my experience, these shipping rates are what you'd expect to mail any package back to your home from Florida. While I don't know the exact rates, I've found them to be reasonable for the item that I'm shipping. My best tip would be to speak with a gatherer (also known as a Cast Member) prior to building your droid and they'll be able to assist you with any next steps! If you wanted to carry your droid with you, I've seen some Guests purchase simple clear backpacks and add some string lights to carry their droids throughout Black Spire Outpost (which looks really incredible at night) – allowing their droids to remain visible and easily transported!
While you're in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, you'll need to refuel for your next galactic adventure. I'd recommend placing a
mobile order for
Ronto Roasters or
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo using the
My Disney Experience app so your food can be ready quicker than the Kessel Run!
If you have any questions, please send us another transmission! And may the Force be with you.
'Til the Spires!
