Hi, Roxie!
California Grill is consistently one of the top choices for Walt Disney World Resort dining, due to its sweeping views from the 15th floor of
Disney's Contemporary Resort and its focus on fresh market ingredients. Try to request a table by the window when you check-in at the podium on the second floor; it's the perfect place for watching the sunset or the fireworks. No matter where you sit, however, you're certain to have a memorable meal when you dine here!
California Grill is on the
Disney Dining Plan, and it is considered a Signature Dining restaurant, so two Table-Service meals will be redeemed from each Guest's meal plan balance; your meal will include one entrée, one nonalcoholic beverage (or alcoholic beverage, for Guests 21 and older), and one dessert. If you decide to go with the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, you'll also be able to order an appetizer.
When I celebrated my birthday here in June, I ordered an old favorite of mine, the Grilled Pork Tenderloin (the Oak-fired Filet of Beef never disappoints, either). Several years ago, I ordered an item off the Hand-rolled Sushi menu for my entrée. This policy may have changed since then, so always check with your server first if you are thinking about that delicious Spicy Kazan Roll! I enjoyed the Lavender Doughnuts this visit, but if you're a chocoholic, I recommend saving room for the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake, served with Vanilla Ice Cream!
If you're like me, and you like to dine earlier in the evening, Roxie, just make sure to save your receipt so you can return for the spectacular views of
Happily Ever After. It's the best way to end a perfect day!
