Hello there Karen, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you are planning a splashtastic adventure at one of Disney World's themed water parks. You have excellent ideas, I can tell that about you.
This year's benefit being offered,
free admission to a water park on arrival day for Disney Resorts guests, is such a wonderful perk! It's been a huge hit, with double the fun available this summer because of having both
Blizzard Beach and
Typhoon Lagoon open at the same time.
Guests are welcome to bring their own towels to the water parks. However, towels are also available... which is a nice option to have, so you don't have to pack a wet towel with you when you leave! Those towels are currently complimentary for Disney Resort guests. In the past, non-Disney Resort guests could rent a towel for a $2 fee. However, I chatted with some fellow panelists who have recently been to the water parks and they reported that all park goers were given a free towel to use! There are no guarantees, but at least this gives you an idea of what to expect.
At Blizzard Beach, you'll find the towels available for pick up at the park's main gift shop,
Beach Haus or at Snowless Joe's. Or if you visit Typhoon Lagoon, you'll want to head to either
Singapore Sal's or High 'N Dry Rentals to pick up a towel.
And last, but not least... you're going to want to head to Joffrey's Coffee cart, to take your new planDisney panelist friend Tami's advice and purchase some of their amazing mini donuts!! Not gonna lie, that's one of my favorite things about the glorious Disney water parks.
Karen, I hope this helps answer your question so you can pack the practically perfect swimming tote for your day of adventure! Please let me know if I can assist with anything else.
Hi ho, hi ho... it's off to fun you go!
