Hi there! Are there any ways to get discounts on the entrance to the parks when we stay at a Disney resort? Or should we just buy a park hopper (which I know very little about) ? This will be my first trip to WDW with kids. Have not been there since &qu

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Colleen!

Traveling to Disney with kids is a whole new exciting "world"! A lot has probably changed since your last visit but no worries - we're hEAR to help!

There are a few things you can do when searching for the best prices on tickets. First check the special offers that Disney is currently offering with their vacation packages.

Look at MouseSavers.com. They're a great resource for finding discounts on a lot of things at Disney. Also check out UndercoverTourist.com for tickets. If you're a AAA member, check their Disney discounts and perks.

When purchasing Disney tickets, remember the more you play, the less you pay. In other words, the ticket price per day goes down the more days you buy. For example, currently (prices are always subject to change without notice) a 1-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom is $95.00 (+ tax). A 4-day 1-park per day ticket is $69.75 per day (+ tax). It gets even cheaper if you purchase more days.

With a 1-park per day ticket, you can visit 1-park per day. You can leave and re-enter that same park as many times as you'd like but you can only visit 1 park that day. The Park Hopper Option allows you to go between all 4 of the theme parks in 1 day if you'd like. The current cost (always subject to change without notice) to add the Park Hopper Option is a one time fee of $59.00 (+ tax) for 2 or more days. If you think you'll plan on visiting more than 1 park on at least 2 days of your trip, then the Park Hopper Option would probably be worth the extra money. If not, I'd try to focus on the park I was visiting for the day and save the money.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
