How many theme parks are in Disney world?

Hello there, Ashley! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and asking your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Walt Disney World Resort is a massive destination that functions very similarly to a city! In fact, they even have their own adorably-themed fire station right on property! As large as it is, it can be a bit overwhelming as you begin planning your vacation. Thankfully, we are here to help by providing all the information you may need!

There are currently four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort. These include the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each of these theme parks has its own theme and offers a variety of entertainment options and attractions. The Magic Kingdom has many of the classic attractions Guests immediately think of when considering visiting Walt Disney World Resort. Epcot is an amazing combination of futuristic entertainment and culturally eclectic experiences from all around the world. Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a prime time focus on the movie industry and boasts some of the most immersive lands of any theme park. Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the best place to go wild between the thrilling attractions and up-close animal experiences.

It is important to keep in mind that Guests visiting any of the four theme parks are required to have a theme park reservation at this time. You can make your reservations through the Disney Park Pass system as soon as you have purchased your theme park tickets and added them to your My Disney Experience account. It is also recommended that you check out the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar online prior to purchasing your tickets so you can verify availability during your selected travel dates!

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort next year! Be sure to let us know if we can answer any other questions for you along the way!
