Hello, Carol and from one
Disney Vacation Club Member to another, let me offer you a hearty, “welcome home!”
Carol, I have often added on a few nights to an already existing vacation package because I love to squeeze in every possible vacation day, so I appreciate this question. From your description it sounds like you have a vacation package that bundles a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay with theme park tickets which would begin on the date of check-in, meaning the first day you would be eligible to use your park tickets is the day of check-in or 12/23/21.
Carol, if you didn’t purchase this as a package, but made your resort reservation separately and then
purchased tickets (note: you would have two separate confirmation numbers to link to your My Disney Experience account), you may be able to modify your ticket start date. Because this is a very popular time of yEAR to travel, I encourage you to view the
Disney Park Pass reservation availability calendar immediately before modifying your tickets. To learn more about how to modify the start day of your tickets, read
THIS question and answer by my fellow panelist, Diane.
If you have your heart set on visiting a park on December 22nd, you still may be able to purchase a 1-day ticket in addition to your existing package, but please make sure to check the
Disney Park Pass reservation availability calendar as some parks may be unavailable.
Carol, I hope this information is useful as you continue to plan for your holiday adventure at the Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have a sweet tooth that will only be satisfied with holiday-themed treats, then make sure to read all about
the festive foods you’ll find at all four theme parks and
the Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
Best wishes for a pixie dusted stay,
Lauren
