Hi Jamie,
Fireworks dessert parties are an excellent way to enjoy the show without having to wait for a spot. I particularly like the
Seats and Sweets experience because you get a guaranteed spot to sit and relax with delicious food. The chocolate-covered strawberries, cheese selections, and wines at this experience are perfect. Keep in mind that you will be assigned a table and not all tables are created equal in terms of viewing locations. If you want a completely unobstructed view of the fireworks and don't mind standing for them, you may prefer the
Pre-Party which includes a reserved standing location in the Plaza Garden. I prefer the Seats and Sweets party because sitting down for the show is a priority for me after a long day of park hopping.
You can make a reservation for this experience regardless of where your theme park reservation is for the day. These reservations open up 60 days before your vacation starts and book up quickly so prioritize making this reservation if it is a must-do experience for you. I highly recommend making sure to park-hop over to Magic Kingdom at least 1.5 hours before your dessert party begins and checking into the experience 60 minutes before the fireworks begin so you have time to maximize your snacks and drinks.
If you are new to
park hopping at Disney World, there is no direct transportation between Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Fortunately, there are several resorts within a short walk or ride on the monorail that have a bus directly to Animal Kingdom. I always just grab the bus from Animal Kingdom to
Disney's Contemporary Resort and then take the short walk over to the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
