Anchors aweigh, Janet!
It is great to see you again at planDisney, it's been a while! Glad to have you back!
You have a most magical adventure ahead of you on your Disney Cruise Line vacation aboard Disney Dream! The Norwegian Fjords are on my wish list and I'm happy to research your question for you!
Now, I'm guessing you are on the 7-Night cruise departing on August 5. Here is the current theme schedule for each evening of that itinerary:
- Monday - Casual
- Tuesday - optional Formal Night
- Wednesday - Casual and Mickey's Color Spin Dance Party
- Thursday - Casual
- Friday - optional Semi-Formal
- Saturday - Pirate Night
Just in case, you should check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app when you board the ship because entertainment schedules are subject to change.
One of my favorite things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation is you can use your imagination, including
what to wear each evening in the
Rotational Dining venues. If you would like to dress to the nines, feel free––even on a casual night! Or if you prefer to leave the fancy duds at home, go casual on Formal night.
When it comes to the deck parties, however, I encourage you to get in the swing of things! Mickey's Color Spin Dance Party is one of those times when you can break out the 90's vibe clothes without your family being embarrassed. And for Pirate Night, feel free to give Captain Jack Sparrow a run for his money (or should I say his treasure?!) with your pirate-inspired costume. One thing to note, while the traditional Disney Cruise Line Pirate Night is held on your cruise, due to maritime and regional regulations fireworks will not be featured.
I hope this information helps, Janet. Please let us know if you have other questions; we are happy to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
