    I am going on the Dream in August. I have heard I must wear closed toed shoes. What is the ruling as far as foot attire is concerned. Many thank.

    Welcome aboard, Rita! I bet you are getting very excited for your sailing onboard the Dream this month! You probably already have your luggage sitting out waiting to be packed for this magical cruise!

    Save some room in your suitcase for whatever shoes you'd like, as there are no restrictions on shoes onboard the ship. Guests are encouraged to dress in Cruise Casual attire for dinners in the main dining restaurants, so I'd leave the flip flops in your stateroom during those nights. However, wear flip flops, sandals, gym shoes or whatever you feel most comfortable with each day as you explore the ship and ports. If you have an active Port Adventure, you will want some comfortable walking and possibly climbing shoes based on the activities on the adventure. But, onboard, you'll see lots of flip flops by the pool, cute dress shoes and sandals and boat shoes in the restaurants and gym shoes throughout too. 

    If you're like me, you might find that you are packing too many shoes - one for each outfit, right? So, feel free to bring your favorites, but I would be sure they are shoes you've broken in prior to sailing, as no one wants sore feet on vacation!
