Hi there, David!
I’m so glad to hear you’re planning a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth during Thanksgiving week. My own family has spent Thanksgiving at the
Disneyland Resort twice and we loved every pixie-dusted minute! Both theme parks will have lots of seasonal decor, attractions, food, and entertainment for you to enjoy as the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will be in full swing as of November 15 this year.
Unfortunately, there hasn't been a Thanksgiving character buffet hosted in the Disneyland Hotel Grand Ballroom since 2019, and no announcements have been made regarding a similar event in that venue this year. However, various other restaurants at the
Disneyland Resort Hotels are likely to offer special Thanksgiving Day menus as they have in the recent past, including
Napa Rose and
Storytellers Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and
Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. You’re sure to find plenty of food options that will remind you of a traditional homemade holiday meal, such as turkey with all the trimmings and pumpkin pie!
We are about a week and a half from arriving at the 60-day mark prior to Thanksgiving, which falls on November 28 this year. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for a possible announcement about all the Thanksgiving options and continue checking
disneyland.com for availability at the
dining location of your choice. In my experience, most table-service reservations become available online at 6:00 a.m. Pacific Time 60 days prior to the day you wish to dine, but this can vary, especially when it comes to holidays and restaurants that offer special menus.
I hope this information helps, David, and that you’re able to enjoy a tasty Thanksgiving meal during your vacation! Please feel free to
write back with any other planning questions you can dream of as your trip draws near.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
