Hi, I’m trying to get certain dining reservations for our trip Aug 25-29, but there’s been no times showing for hotel character dining after Aug 23. I assume it’s because of Halloween activities. Is there a date for when dining will open on these dates?

Hello there Elizabeth!  Thanks for bringing your great question to planDisney!

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort begins on August 23, 2024, and continues through October 31!  Usually when there is a pause in dining reservations, it is because they are finalizing details and plans for the upcoming special season.  I feel that your assumption is correct, and that Chef Goofy and his pals are cooking up something special for the fall!

We do not know the exact date of when all of the delicious details will be released, it looks like more information was made available in mid-August last year.  With Halloween Time starting a bit sooner this year than last, I'd definitely keep my eye on the Disneyland site and the Disney Parks Blog starting later this month!  I'm hoping that we will get to see a sneak peek of all of the seasonal snacks, treats, as well as the special dining events whether that's the Halloween Screams Dining Package, or the special character dining meals.

I hope you're able to make your dining reservations soon, Elizabeth!  Don't hesitate to come back to planDisney if we can help with any other questions for your upcoming trip.

    Have a magical day!
