Hi again, Tatiana,
Thanks for your follow-up question about planning your land and sea adventure in Fall 2027 at Walt Disney World and on Disney Cruise Line.
The cruises that fit your timeframe are Halloween on the High Seas themed. That means there will be special seasonal decorations, entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and activities, including trick-or-treating, for all guests on board. Check out Your Guide to Halloween on the High Seas on the Disney Parks Blog for all the details.
Is there some overlap with activities at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Sure. But I prefer to think of that as a bonus, rather than too much Halloween. If you do both, you get double-duty out of your costume, if you choose to wear one. You get double trick or treating and extra doses of Halloween magic.
Here are some of the things at Mickey's Not--So-Scary that won't be available on the cruise:
Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, with the Headless Horseman and the dancing gravediggers, is amazing, and you can only see it each year during the Halloween Party.
Mickey's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular dazzles with a specially themed story told with projections, lasers and fireworks.
The limited attendance at the specially ticketed event usually means access to your favorite Magic Kingdom rides and attractions is faster and easier.
So, to answer your question, is it too much Halloween magic? Only you can decide, of course, but I don't think you will feel that the experiences are repetitive, and you might even find that Not-So-Scary gave you a fuller Magic Kingdom experience than you would have gotten otherwise during the short land portion of your vacation.
You've got some time to decide. Tickets for the 2027 edition of Mickey's Not-So-Scary won't go on sale until Spring 2027. Meanwhile, you can be dreaming about what special Halloween touches you want to add to your celebratory vacation.
Happy planning, Tatiana. Please let us know when you have other questions along the way.
Enjoy,
Wilma
