William from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Thanks for your previous answer. Have things changed? We made reservations for parks. It looks like there is a certain arrival time. Does that mean that ther is no rope drop anymore? Can we go shopping in the Main St stores before our arrival time? Thx

Welcome back, William! It is so great to see you here at planDisney.

William, the arrival time shown on your Disney Park Pass system reservation reflects the opening time of the theme park. Theme park hours are subject to change, and if they do, you can expect to see the updated theme park hours reflected in your Disney Park Pass system reservation, as well.

Now William, one of my absolute favorite things to do in the Magic Kingdom is to arrive at Main Street, U.S.A. a little before the park opens, grab a coffee and pastry at the Main Street Bakery before browsing the Emporium. Once Mickey Mouse and pals officially open the parks, I head over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

William, I have spoken to two of my fellow panelists who have just returned from the Most Magical Place on Earth and they both said that they arrived at the Magic Kingdom about 30 minutes before the park opened and were able to shop and snack before heading straight to a ride.

While the traditional Welcome show is not currently happening, you may just catch a glimpse of some familiar faces on top of the train station welcoming you into the park.

I hope that this helped, William. Please come back here to planDisney if we can help as you embark on your magical vacation.

We love to hEAR from you!
