    Thanks MP for all the advice! 1st cruise Feb '13 on Dream 4 night Bahama. Can I request to be seated at a table with just my husband and I each night? Also, can you please explain gratuities at meals. Do I have to be billed or can I tip and choose what am?

    Disney does allow guests to request that they be seated with just their family or if they'd prefer to be at a table with other families. Just give Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent a call and let them know. They'll be happy to add that request to your reservation.

    Guests traditionally tip the following Cast Members on the cruise, and tips are normally given at the end of the cruise. Below are the traditional gratuities which are per person (including children), per day.

    Head Server: $1 per day
    Server: $4 per day
    Assistant Server: $3 per day
    Stateroom Host: $4 per day

    Again, these are per person (including children), per day, so on your four night sailing, your husband and you can expect to pay a total of $96 in gratuities. Of course, you could always add a bit extra if those Cast Members really go above and beyond!  On the last night of your sailing, you will receive little envelopes in your stateroom for tips. Guests can put cash in the envelopes or have the tips put on their account, receiving receipts which can be put in the envelopes. Then, present the envelope to those Cast Members as you see them for the last time before you disembark. Those Cast Members, in particular, are with you quite often throughout the sailing and really become a large part of your magical experience. It's hard for us to say goodbye when we leave each cruise!
