Thanks a lot for the thorough response Casey! I have another question, as we're only visiting Magic Kingdom in this trip, for 2 consecutive days, i wonder what suggestion do you have for us about the type of tickets we should get.

Hi Alda, and welcome back to planDisney! I’m so happy you sent me another great question. I genuinely love helping plan Disney vacations that are “practically perfect in every way!” It's especially fun when a Guest returns with another question!

There are so many options to choose from with Walt Disney World tickets, and what I love is that you have the flexibility to choose what is just right for your plans. Since you will be visiting only Magic Kingdom, the best choice for you is going to be to purchase a 2-Day “1 Park Per Day” base ticket. You won’t need to add on the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus options since you don’t plan to visit the other theme parks or water parks. You’ll be asked to select which dates you plan to visit the parks when purchasing your tickets, and pricing will be based on the selected dates. Mouseketeers ages 3 to 9 cost slightly less than tickets for everyone ages 10 and older, so that will save you a little with your two kids!

Another option you’ll have the opportunity to purchase at the same time as your tickets is Memory Maker. I absolutely love this option and have already purchased it twice this year during trips to Walt Disney World! Memory Maker allows you to download all of the photos and videos from select rides and attractions, plus the beautiful photos taken by Disney’s PhotoPass photographers throughout the parks. You will see these photographers all over the park, and you can stop to have any of them take a photo of your family any time you'd like. They capture the most amazing images and always seem to know exactly where to stand to get the perfect backdrop. PhotoPass photos are my favorite souvenir from every Disney vacation!

Before I go, how about some more insider tips? One of the best parts of any Disney vacation is the FOOD! Let’s talk about Magic Kingdom snacks! Since you’ll be there for two days, your visit wouldn’t be complete without trying a few. A true Disney snack icon is the DOLE Whip® from Aloha Isle in Adventureland. Think dreamy, pineapple soft serve with the added bonus that it’s dairy-free, gluten-free, and fat-free. It’s perfect on a hot day! We also never visit Magic Kingdom without having Cheshire Cat Tails at Cheshire Café in Fantasyland. My kids love them, and my guess is that your kids will, too! My true snack favorite is the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls at the Spring Roll Cart near the entrance to Adventureland. You get two in one order, so they are perfect for sharing (or not sharing!) – I won’t tell if you keep them both for yourself! Also, one of the often overlooked but must-try snacks is the fruit and hazelnut spread waffle at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square. Imagine a warm waffle with bananas, berries, hazelnut spread, and sweet cream topping…so good!

Alda, I’m so happy you stopped by and let me sprinkle a little more pixie dust on your vacation! If you have any more questions or want more insider tips, come back and see me again. I’d love to help you plan every magical detail!

    Your pal,
    Casey
