Thanks Jessica! I was thinking maybe Skyliner to Hollywood Studios, then bus over to Wilderness Lodge but couldn’t remember exactly where that dropped you at HS compared to where the Buses were at HS.

Hi, Melissa! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm so glad we're getting to chat back and forth about your plans to head to Hoop-Dee-Doo very soon.

The bus depot at Disney's Hollywood Studios is actually quite close to the Skyliner station. When you get off the Skyliner, instead of turning right and heading toward the park entrance, you'll want to turn left and walk away from the gates. You'll see the bus stops just a short distance down that walkway, so it's an easy transfer if you want to go that route.

That said, if your goal is to get to Hoop-Dee-Doo, I want to make sure that we're on the same page: Pioneer Hall is located at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, not Wilderness Lodge. Those two resorts are neighbors across Bay Lake, and they're easy to mix up, so I'd hate for you to accidentally end up in the wrong place!

If you take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and then hop on a bus to Fort Wilderness, just keep in mind that the buses from Hollywood Studios will drop you off at the front entrance of Fort Wilderness. From there, you'll need to catch one of the internal Fort Wilderness buses to get all the way across the resort back to Pioneer Hall, where Hoop-Dee-Doo is held. It's not a difficult transfer, but there can be several stops along the way, and it does add an extra step and some extra time.

Because of that, you may find that taking the bus from Caribbean Beach straight to Magic Kingdom and then hopping on the boat to Fort Wilderness is the quicker and simpler option. The Magic Kingdom boat dock at Fort Wilderness is just steps from Pioneer Hall, so you can skip the internal bus entirely. Plus, it's a really scenic boat ride and a nice way to arrive for the show.

So yes, you absolutely can use the Skyliner-to-Hollywood Studios route if you'd prefer to ride the Skyliner instead of taking the bus to Magic Kingdom, but with the extra transfer at Fort Wilderness, it will likely take a little longer than the Magic Kingdom boat option. Both of these routes will get you to your destination, and you have the freedom to choose your preferred option! If it were me, I'd choose the bus and boat, but there's no wrong option here because every route ends with fried chicken, ribs, and strawberry shortcake.

It's great to chat with you again, Melissa, and please let me know if you have any more questions about planning your trip to Hoop-Dee-Doo or any other part of your upcoming Disney vacation!
