Thanks for all the help! Can someone please describe how lightning McQueen greets guests? Does he move/talk or is it just a photo opp with a realistic statue? Can he sign my kids autograph book?

    Jessica,

Typically at Walt Disney World, namely in the Hollywood Studios, Lightning McQueen (and Mater, for that matter), does not chat with the kids. He sits there as a more active photo op than a statue (like the cars over at the Art of Animation), with his engines revving and his eyes in the dashboard moving.

However, with the opening of Cars Land in Disneyland, they have found a way to cure McQueen's sore throat, and he can speak. But that is in limited events, so I would plan that he still is too sore to speak when you visit.

When we have visited, they have not had any kind of autograph stamp, but check with their cast member assistant. Sometimes characters who can't easily sign books will have stamps for that ever important character autograph book.

    Have a magical vacation!
