THANKS for your help Doug! Arrive 8/16 with storms predicted for the 6 days we'll be at WDW. I've got ponchos packed but am wondering if any attractions will be closed because of the weather?? Do water parks shut down during tstorms? Thanks!!

    Mary,

There are very few attractions that will get closed down due to the inclement weather. So many of the attractions are indoors that you will find it is fewer that will close than you might imagine.

There is no official list that I am aware of, but I have seen Test Track at Epcot close due to rain. I really can't recall anything else, if only because when it rains I make my way to indoor attractions and stores. I would not worry about the theme parks being an issue, as there is so much more to do that it should not matter.

As for water parks, I believe that yes, they can close due to bad weather. Of course thunderstorms are, I am sure, a pretty certain way to assume they will close.

A bit of advice. Even during the rainy season (which includes the time of your visit), the rain seems to come all at once. So keep an eye on the local forecasts, and consider morning trips to the water parks, since the rains seem to cluster more in the afternoon.

Have a magical (and dry!) vacation!
