Thanks for your help! DM & I were thinking of POFQ already! :) Q: If we book 8/14-8/21 would we be able to get the end of the 35% off of resort stay and use another promotion if one becomes avail. (i.e. free dining!)? Or does Disney prohibit that? Thnx

The fine print on the promotions varies quite a bit. However, generally, most Disney Bookings allow you to use only one major promotion at a time. For example, it would be highly unlikely that you would be able to get both a significant room discount and free dining. Sometimes it takes quite a bit of number crunching to figure out which promotion will save you the most. My suggestion would be to call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY and discuss what your options are.

A few other things to consider:

    - While Free Dining has happened during late August and the fall of the past few years, this promotion has not yet been announced for 2010. There's currently no guarantee this will happen.

    - The folks at the wonderful independent website touringplans.com did a study that evaluated the cost effectiveness of "Free" dining. You may want to poke around for this.

    - If you are particularly light eaters, the Dining Plan might not be the best option for you.

    Good luck with your planning.
