Thanks for the great response about pin trading. Another ? Do the CM in the restaurants have pins to trade (I just had flash go off in my head that it may occupy them while waiting for our meal;-)or is it just the CMs who walk around? Thanks so much!

    Hi Jennifer,

Glad I could help get your family started on their pin trading adventures. We have had such fun with this family hobby for some time now.

That is a great idea to help occupy the kids time while waiting for their meals. There is no set rule that I am aware of, that indicates which Cast Members wear lanyards. You will most likely find a good number of the host or hostesses as well as the seaters and possibly even the restaraunt managers with pins. You will not find that the wait staff wears pins for trading, which I expect is due to safety reasons since they are handling food. Certainly any Cast Member inside the restaraunt that is wearing pins can be approached for a trade.

While this is off of our pin topic, a few great ideas that we use for passing this meal "waiting period" include Disney Uno or Disney memory. I carry the cards and the memory tiles in ziploc bags. Both of these games are extremely portable and a great way to pass not only waiting for our food, but also while sitting and waiting for a parade. Another idea is to carry a small notebook and Disney stickers in a ziploc bag. The boys take this time to write in their "journal" what they have done that day, their favorite things and more, and then use the stickers to decorate their entries.

    Have a great time!
