Hi Moms, thanks for all your fantastic planning help. This page is truly priceless! Have all the rooms at OKW now been renovated? We’d like a room close to a quiet pool and bus stop, don’t mind being away from the main areas, where would you recommend?

    Hello Lorna!

As someone who plans every last detail of her Walt Disney World vacations, I love all the planning and care you are taking with making your visit as magical as possible! You already know that Disney’s Old Key West Resort is one of our favorites. My parents call it their Home Resort and it is always a place we look forward to staying.

As of earlier summer 2019, the interior room renovations at Disney’s Old Key West Resort are complete! We were lucky enough to stay in a renovated room this spring and I absolutely love the results. Everything is light, bright and modern, but still has that classic Florida beach feel.

If you would like a room near one of the leisure pools, I would recommend you request the Old Turtle Pond Road area. I especially like building numbers 43 and 44 since they are located between the pool and the bus stop. This would also give you a higher building number and give you a room with master bathroom access through the laundry room, which can be nice for larger groups. You’ll also be a quick walk to Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks should you wish to refill a resort refillable mug or grab a Mickey Premium Bar! Another option would be buildings 53 through 56 in the South Point Road area. These would be close to a bus stop and the leisure pool, though there is not a snack bar at that location.

I hope this helps, Lorna! And please, keep the questions coming, we are here to help!
