Thanks Erin F., follow up question. I planned on a cab from ASM to MK for 8 am res. at crystal palace. But if taxi's can't drive us to the gate, would a cab still be faster than waiting for the bus? Or is the bus faster due to the gate drop off? time?

    Hi Rosalie,

In your case, I'd have the cab drop you at the Grand Floridian. (Tell them you have a breakfast reservation there if anyone asks, which they likely won't.) From there you can take the monorail one quick stop to the Magic Kingdom. This will be less crowded and involve less walking than taking the monorail or ferry from the Transportation and Ticket Center.

The cab will likely be very slightly faster than the bus. However, the big difference is that with a cab, you can control your departure time. You could even arrange the pickup with the bell services desk in advance the night before. On the other hand, the bus might come right away, or you might have to wait 20 minutes.

I tend to get nervous about timing with early morning reservations. Cabs alleviate some of my nerves. However, if you're made of hardier stuff then I am, then the bus is certainly an option to consider.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
