Thanks Doug for answering my prev question. We will most likely keep our AOA reservation, but if we did decide to cancel and rebook at a resort that is elig for free dining, what penalty if any would we have? We Booked through out travel agent. We love WDW

    Crystal,

    Thanks for the follow-up question!

That is a good idea to consider. I don't know the specifics on this particular promotion, but I think you will find that instead of a penalty it is more a matter of which plan's discount is better for you. For instance you will find that most free dining promotions have you paying a full price for the room. But your current reservation may be the room at a discount.

What is great is that you booked through a travel agent. Assuming they are a no-fee, authorized Disney travel planner, you are in good hands! I ALWAYS recommend that people use these agencies. I do myself!

If you contact your original agent, they can tell you what the difference would be between keeping your original reservation, or to move to a free-dining reservation. Something that YOU need to consider at that time is not just the difference between the two in your overall cost, but also the change in they type of room. If you move to a traditional room, vs. the family suites at the Art of Animation, you have two different types of rooms. You will have to determine how much one might be better for your family than the other.

BOTTOM LINE: As a smart Disney shopper, ask your agent to give you a comparison offer with the free-dining plan, then decide on budget and room type what is best for you!

    Have a magical vacation!
