Welcome aboard, Tiffany! A three night sailing aboard the Disney Dream is the perfect introduction to Disney Cruise Line. After those magical three nights, I bet you'll leave excited to book another cruise so you can experience even more of the magic of sailing with Disney! In fact, if that's the case, you might consider booking your next cruise while onboard, and possibly taking advantage of some great onboard booking offers!
Take a look at the
travel document requirements on Disney Cruise Line's website. You'll see that for U.S. Citizens traveling in the Caribbean or Bahamas with Disney Cruise Line, leaving from Port Canaveral, guests must have either a passport or a government issued photo I.D. like a driver's license along with the original or copy of their birth certificate. Children under 16 traveling with their parents only need their state-issued birth certificate.
It's always highly recommended that guests travel with passports, as it protects you and makes it much easier in the unlikely event of an emergency in a foreign port of call. However, as you see on the site, it's certainly acceptable to sail this itinerary with only your driver's license and birth certificate.
Have fun planning, Tiffany!
