THanks for answering my last question. My question this time is about Treasure Island/ Discovery Island. I bought two disney world guide books and neither of them had any info on it. Does it still exist? I remember going to the island when i was younger.

Unfortunately, Discovery Island (also known at various points as Treasure Island) was closed in 1999. The Discovery Island name lives on as part of the Animal Kingdom park, but the actual Discovery Island is now abandoned.

If you go to the website allearsnet.com and search for an article called "Treasure Island, a.k.a Discovery Island Theme Park Archives" you will find a complete history of this now defunct part of Walt Disney World.

Hope this helps explain the mystery.
