Thanks for answering my first question Erin. When I called the CM told me that if I wanted to switch the cc I would need to first cancel the ADR, then rebook with the new cc, but it may be booked by another guest in the meantime. I am uneasy. Advice?

    Hi Liz,

I've done a lot more online research and spoken to Disney Dining myself. Everything I've discovered points to some mistake in your friend's situation having their reservation canceled without notice. This does not appear to be common practice. Personally, if I were you and I had a reservation number and a confirmation printout, I'd just leave things as is.

If you're still uncomfortable, call back try to speak with a different cast member at Disney Dining. While most cast members are wonderful at their jobs, some have been there longer than others and have had more experience with out-of-the-ordinary requests. Changing the credit card should not automatically result in a canceled reservation.

As a workaround, you may want to try to make a different reservation for the same place/time. Then, when that reservation is in place, go ahead and cancel the first one, so that you're not double booked.

I'm sorry that this seems so complicated.
