Moms, Thanks in advance ... Solo trip in just over 1 week. How do I get from Epcot to Big River Grille & Brewing Works for a midday break from Epcot? I'll have an ECV. Any other ideas for a mature woman. Does Canada pavillion have a quick service locat

    Hi Rochelle,

I have made several solo trips to Walt Disney World and loved the experience. You're going to have a wonderful time.

The Big River Grill is located on the Boardwalk. The Boardwalk is easily accessible via the International Gateway exit to Epcot - located between the England and France pavilions in the World Showcase. Once you've left Epcot, bear left and the Big River Grill is approximately one third of a mile away. You could also take a Friendship boat from the Epcot Gateway to the Boardwalk dock, but this might actually take longer.

The Canada pavilion does not have a quick service restaurant. But several of the other World Showcase countries do. I think I've personally dined at all of them during my solo trips. I'm particularly fond of the fish and chips at the England pavilion and of the cous cous in Morocco. These spots have wonderful food and great people watching.

I've also had a great time eating solo meals in some of the Disney hotel lounges. My favorite is the lounge at the Wave in the Contemporary. You can get the full restaurant menu served to you at the bar and the staff there is exceptionally kind.

    Enjoy your visit!
