Hi I am so thankful for your site it is sooo helpful, thanks! Q: This will be our 1st family vacation to wdw and my husband and I are planning a nite out w/o kids but I heard P.I. is closing the day we arrive! Any suggestions?

I'm so pleased you enjoy our site, we love answering your questions!

How exciting you're coming to Disney World for the first time and to manage to get an adults only night too! You're correct that Pleasure Island has now closed, it actually closed last year, but can I suggest the Boardwalk area for you and your husband. It is between Epcot  and Disney's Hollywood Studios and is a beautiful area, some information and photos can be found HERE. It has a good mixture of restaurants, entertainment and nightclub type places such as Jellyrolls which is a lively piano bar or the Atlantic Dance Hall where you can dance the night away.

If you're after a more relaxed evening then a meal at one of the monorail resorts such as Kona Cafe at the Polynesian or Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian followed by watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from one of the resort beaches could be very romantic.

Hope that helps and you have a fantastic trip,

    Jo
