Hi Laura!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad you found my last response to be helpful!
Your proof of time is used to place you in a corral for the
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. If you feel like you'll finish the race in less than 2 hours and 45 minutes and would like to be in the corresponding corral, valid proof of time must be submitted. Unfortunately runDisney does not accept self-timed, training, or virtual runs. If you don't have a proof of time, you still have time to obtain one if you can find a local race around you that will have posted results before August 1st. If you do, you'll log into Active.com and edit your registration. They will ask you to input the name of the race, distance, city, state, date, finish time and provide a link to the results page. For a Half Marathon distance, you can provide proof of time from a 10K, 12K, 15K, 10-Mile, Half Marathon or Marathon.
When runDisney places participants into corrals they start with folks that have entered proof of time. They will then block people into corrals based on their expected finish time. Then they corral folks that did not enter a proof of time and sort them by their expected finish time as well. You certainly do not have to enter a proof of time to complete the race, but if you'd like a higher corral placement, it would be helpful. I didn't submit a proof of time last year for
Super Heroes Half Marathon because I'd been pregnant the year prior. I still had an amazing time and actually found the course to be less crowded!
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
