Hello again, Christy,
I’m glad that the information I provided you for ways to assist your community with planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation for the grieving family was helpful. Thanks for stopping back by with another question.
I did quite a bit of checking with several friendly Cast Members so that I could provide you with the most accurate information and here is what I learned.
As a Florida resident, you can book up to three rooms at the
Special Offer rate. However, you must be present at check-in and be one of the primary Guests in one of the rooms. Additionally, there must be an adult who is a Florida resident listed as the primary Guest in the other rooms. I was advised to encourage you to review the
Important Details regarding these Special Offers and contact the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations team if you need assistance booking one of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
As for
Florida resident tickets, every adult guest over 18 will need to present a valid Florida driver's license with a current Florida address, a valid Florida state-issued ID card with a current Florida address or a valid Florida-based military ID. If a Guest does not have any of those forms of identification, they may present proof of their current mortgage or other types of official mail or bills along with a valid photo ID. The complete list of
acceptable proof of residency can be found here. Children under 18 do not need to provide proof of residency, however, they must be accompanied by an adult who has the proper proof.
This may not be the answer you were hoping for, Christy, but I’m certain that you all will find many ways to care for this family and I know they appreciate everyone’s kind efforts. If you have other questions about how to make The Most Magical Place on Earth part of those efforts, please let me know.
Remember, you are the magic,
Shannon
