Thank you for your reply to my previous question. I have another... If I book a vacation with the DDP and then decide we rather pay as we go for meals, can I cancel it from my reservation? thanks! Looking forward to our 2nd trip to Disney World!!!

Hi, Lyn!  If you are booking a vacation package that includes the dining plan, you can cancel the dining plan component, but you may incur a change fee in your reservation.  Your best bet to tackle something like this is to call reservations at Walt Disney World directly at 407-934-7639, and they can help you so that there is the least impact to your existing reservation or your wallet.

If you are unsure, I'd suggest waiting to add the dining plan.  You can add a dining plan to your reservation up to three days prior to check in at your resort.  That way, you can do the math, check the menus, and determine if the dining plan is the way for your family to go.

The big advantage to the dining plan is that you've already paid your meals, and that part of your budget is taken care of.  One less thing to worry about will make the vacation a bit more stress free!

You can still make your dining reservations 180 days in advance, whether you choose the dining plan or not.  Just let them know when you check in at the restaurant that you are on the dining plan if you add it after you make your reservations.  Most servers know to ask, but it's always good to volunteer the information!

I'm so glad you're looking forward to your upcoming vacation!  If there's anything I can do to help your planning continue to go smoothly, you know just where to find me!
