    Thank you for reply Doug. Problem with our reservation. PO resorts aren't available from 8/27 to 8/31 with Delux meal plan. Caribbean is available, but reviews are not good for this one. We can go in Sep also. August preferred. Your opinion is valued.

    Sumali,

    So that is a great question. Go in August, but at a resort that may not be your first choice, or wait until September for the one you like. Let’s look at the two options, and give you what you need to know to decide;

    Caribbean Beach in August
    While I do prefer Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach has undergone some recent improvements that really make this a nicer choice than I might have thought of it in years past. For instance the main pool has been renovated, and you really feel like you are swimming in a Caribbean port fort. The splash area is particularly great with lots of features that make it a ton of fun.

    Port Orleans in September

    I happen to prefer coming in September for the smaller crowds, and if you can stay at Port Orleans resorts, all the better. I prefer it to Caribbean Beach.

    It really comes down to how much more important it is to come in August than September. For my family now it would be fine to wait until September. But in a few years that won’t be an option. If I were in your shoes, and had to take the situation described in the August scenario above, I would not be disappointed at all. I may prefer Port Orleans, but I hardly think of Caribbean Beach as a BAD choice. I think it would be fine.

    See you on the next question!

    Have a magical vacation!
