Thank you for the information you provided to me about proper attire for our cruise coming up this May. I just have one other question regarding your answer. What is considered cruise casual, Formal, and semi formal . Thank you for you help?.

    Welcome back, Judith!

Onboard your Disney cruise, you'll see many different interpretations of the dining attire. On Formal Night , I've seen anything from tuxedos and evening gowns to a nicer summer dress and men in button down shirts. Semi-Formal is a bit less formal, obviously, so I usually wear a nice dress and jacket, and my husband wears a suit, but not his tux. Again, though, some people dress down more than we do on those nights.

Cruise casual leaves you lots of options. I tend to wear some cute capris or a fun summer dress or skirt. They do ask that no shorts or jeans be worn in the main dining restaurants. But, little boys can often be seen wearing nicer khaki shorts and a polo shirt. I certainly allow my little man to wear his nice shorts and polos to dinner, and it's always been very appropriate. My husband likes to wear his khakis (long) and a polo or button down shirt for dinner on cruise casual nights.

You'll see a variety of outfits, so as long as you try to go with the guidelines, I promise you'll feel comfortable among the other guests. A Disney cruise is certainly a nice excuse to buy yourself a new outfit, isn't it? Have fun planning, Judith!
