Hello and thank you for your help, I have so many questions! How would one use the Dining Plan Credits towards character dining, if they require payment when you book the reservation?

    Hi Stephanie!

I'm glad you found us! We're glad to help out with your questions!

Most character dining reservations do not require a credit card hold when you make your reservations. Meals at the Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare and Ohana (to name just a few!) do not require a guarantee when your reservation is made.

Currently, meals at Cinderella's Castle and the Princess Storybook Breakfast at the Norway Pavillon are two meals that do require a credit card hold. These meals are extremely popular and hard to reserve. The credit card guarantee hopes to ensure that cancellations are kept to a minimum. When you make reservations for these restaurants, your credit card will be taken to hold the reservation. If you need to cancel, you can do so up to 48 hours before your reservation time without any penalty.

Once you arrive for your breakfast, just let your Cast Member who is waiting on you know that you'd like to use your dining plan credits. They can then take care of everything for you.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!
