Ahoy, Anne!
Welcome back! We are so glad you are here and finding the site helpful with your cruise planning. It won't be long now before you are in full vacation mode on your Disney Cruise! The crew and your favorite Disney Characters are ready to welcome you aboard real soon.
It is not necessary to have a lanyard for your "Key to the World" card. I carry around a small wristlet that holds my phone and cruise card. I definitely recommend having some sort of container to keep it in, but that's completely up to you. If you want to purchase a lanyard, they will have them for sale in the shops onboard. The
shops will open the first afternoon once the ship sets sail around 5:00 p.m. The hours of operations will be listed in your daily cruise newsletter or on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app (free for download for Apple or Android devices).
As for your adventures ashore, the main difference between the
Dolphin Swim Adventure (TT07) and the
Dolphin Encounter (TT06) is the deep water belly ride on the swim adventure. The Dolphin Encounter is in shallow water, and you will not be pulled through the water by the dolphin. If you are at all unsure about swimming with dolphins, the encounter is a great interactive experience!
Best wishes for a magical voyage, Anne! Thank you for visiting us with all your cruise questions! We hope you'll cruise back by to "sea" us when you're planning your next sailing with Captain Mickey!
Bon Voyage!
Nancy
